Ecobat are a global leader in the collection, recycling, production and distribution of resources essential to modern life.
From the batteries used in vehicles and renewable energy infrastructure to the backup power systems that support hospitals and data centers – the material Ecobat recycles and produces are essential components in the technologies developed to meet the worlds energy storage needs.
With massive operations throughout Europe, the United States, and Southern Africa, the Ecobat business was made up of a large number of businesses all operating with independent marketing and brands. Now under new American ownership, Ecobat rebranded into 4 clear, encompassing divisions; Ecobat Resources, Ecobat Logistics, Ecobat Solutions and Ecobat Battery.
A new brand was developed in the US but rolling it out and applying it to the individual businesses needed to be controlled regionally, which is where we were called in to help.
With no clear Marketing function here in the UK, we assisted Ecobat Resources to implement the new brand, working with the senior team here and in the United States to create a range of comms material. Most significantly, we updated nearly 400 signs around the massive smelting site in Darlaston which all needed to be created, utilising a new icon set we developed alongside guidance for future signage work at other sites.
We handled all the creative and production work overseeing the massive project of installing the new signs, working closely with the Ecobat site team to access hazardous locations.
We have supported Ecobat Resources with various brand application projects and we are looking at how the work done at this first site is run out across others around the UK and Europe.
